This specification establishes requirements and test methods for dimensions and tolerances of central-vacuum hose inlet valve sockets. The requirements pertain to the dimensions, tolerances, and socket dimensions. The test methods include sampling and conditioning.1.1 This specification establishes requirements and test methods for dimensions and tolerances of central-vacuum hose inlet valve sockets.1.2 All notes and footnotes shall be considered as non-mandatory requirements of the specification.1.3 This specification does not apply to inlet valve back-up (or mounting) plates.1.4 This standard is applicable to universal valves marked with ASTM F2863, and does not limit proprietary valve designs.1.5 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.6 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.7 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

4.1 Many nitrogen compounds can contaminate refinery catalysts. They tend to be the most difficult class of compounds to hydrogenate, so the nitrogen content remaining in the product of a hydrotreator is a measure of the effectiveness of the hydrotreating process. In lubricating oils the concentration of nitrogen is a measure of the presence of nitrogen containing additives. This test method is intended for use in plant control and in research.1.1 This test method covers the determination of nitrogen in liquid hydrocarbons, including petroleum process streams and lubricating oils in the concentration range from 40 μg/g to 10 000 μg/g nitrogen. For light hydrocarbons containing less than 100 μg/g nitrogen, Test Method D4629 can be more appropriate.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. Specific warning statements are given in Section 6, 7.1, 8.2, and 8.2.2.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

ASTM D8057-17 Standard Specification for Inlet Filters with a Rigid Frame Active 发布日期 :  1970-01-01 实施日期 :

This specification covers the manufacturing and test requirements for geosynthetic storm sewer inlet filters used in highway drainage, roadway, residential, commercial, and industrial applications. The inlet filter is comprised of a rigid frame and a removable geosynthetic sediment bag. The sediment bag hangs suspended from the rigid frame and includes a bypass that shall allow water flow into the drainage structure if the bag is completely filled with sediment. Water flow through the bypass shall equal or exceed the design flow of the inlet required at a specified drainage location. The filter can be used with round, rectangular, gutter, rolled curb, and curb inlet types. The rigid frame shall be designed to support the design load on the frame, and must be capable of supporting the full design load without deformation when the grate is removed. The frame shall not interfere with or elevate the grate more than 1/8 in. The sediment bag shall be manufactured from a geotextile material or a composite of geotextile and geosynthetic reinforcement. When used for removal of trash or large debris only, the geosynthetic sediment bag may be constructed of open-weave geosynthetic. The requirements of this specification are intended to provide an inlet filter system to collect sediment, trash, leaves, and other storm water contaminants from surface storm water runoff at drainage inlet locations during temporary site construction. This specification also covers ordering information and product marking.1.1 This specification covers geosynthetic storm sewer inlet filters used in highway drainage, roadway, residential, commercial, and industrial applications. 4.1 Some process catalysts used in petroleum and chemical refining may be poisoned when even trace amounts of nitrogenous materials are contained in the feedstocks. This test method can be used to determine bound nitrogen in process feeds and may also be used to control nitrogen compounds in finished products.1.1 This test method covers the determination of the trace total nitrogen naturally found in liquid hydrocarbons boiling in the range from approximately 50 °C to 400 °C, with viscosities between approximately 0.2 cSt and 10 cSt (mm2/s) at room temperature. This test method is applicable to naphthas, distillates, and oils containing 0.3 mg/kg to 100 mg/kg total nitrogen. For liquid hydrocarbons containing more than 100 mg/kg total nitrogen, Test Method D5762 can be more appropriate. This test method has been successfully applied, during interlaboratory studies, to sample types outside the range of the scope by dilution of the sample in an appropriate solvent to bring the total nitrogen concentration and viscosity to within the range covered by the test method. However, it is the responsibility of the analyst to verify the solubility of the sample in the solvent and that direct introduction of the diluted sample by syringe into the furnace does not cause low results due to pyrolysis of the sample or solvent in the syringe needle.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. See 6.2, 6.4, 6.5, 6.9, and Section 7.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
