ASTM D3773/D3773M-10(2019) Standard Test Methods for Length of Woven Fabric Active 发布日期 :  1970-01-01 实施日期 :

AbstractThese test methods cover four options for measuring fabric length and are applicable to full rolls or bolts of materials. There are four approved options of measuring length as follows: option A - hand, option B - drum, option C - clock, and option D - folding. The length is measured from one end of the fabric to the other, using a suitable graduated device, or apparatus as described in the option used. The significance, use, and apparatus of the four options are presented in details.1.1 These test methods cover four options for measuring fabric length and are applicable to full rolls or bolts of materials.1.2 There are four approved options of measuring length as follows:1.2.1 Option A—Hand (Section 6).1.2.2 Option B—Drum (Section 7).1.2.3 Option C—Clock (Section 8).1.2.4 Option D—Folding (Section 9).1.3 The values stated in either SI units or in U.S. customary units shall be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system must be used independently of the other, without combining values in any way.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

ASTM D3774-18 Standard Test Method for Width of Textile Fabric Active 发布日期 :  1970-01-01 实施日期 :

5.1 Option A procedures of Test Method D3774 for width are considered satisfactory for acceptance testing of commercial shipments because they are used extensively in the trade.5.1.1 In case of a dispute arising from differences in reported test values when using Test Method D3774 for acceptance testing of commercial shipments, the purchaser and the supplier should conduct comparative tests to determine if there is a statistical bias between their laboratories. Competent statistical assistance is recommended for the investigation of bias. As a minimum, the two parties should take a group of test specimens which are as homogeneous as possible and which are from a lot of material of the type in question. The test specimens should then be randomly assigned in equal numbers to each laboratory for testing. The average results from the two laboratories should be compared using Student's t-test for unpaired data and an acceptable probability level chosen by the two parties before testing is begun. If a bias is found, either its cause must be found and corrected or the purchaser and the supplier must agree to interpret future test results in the light of the known bias.1.1 This test method covers the measurement of the width of woven or knitted fabrics, usable width, or both. The method is applicable to full rolls, bolts of fabric, and short specimens removed from a roll or bolt. Unless otherwise specified, measurements shall include the selvages when present.1.2 The method offers two options:1.2.1 Option A—Full Roll or Bolt.1.2.2 Option B—Short Specimen Removed from Full Roll or Bolt.1.3 The values stated in either SI units or U.S. customary units are to be regarded as standard. The U.S. customary units may be approximate.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.

4.1 This test method is applicable to the determination of the fluidity of various fluid fine aggregate concrete mixtures.1.1 This test method covers a procedure, used both in the laboratory and in the field, for determining the time of efflux of a specified volume of the fine aggregate concrete through a standardized flow cone and used for fabric formed concrete (FFC); however, the test method may also be used for other fluid concrete.1.2 It is for use with fine aggregate concrete containing fine aggregate as define in Specification C33.1.3 This test method is intended for use with fine aggregate concrete having an efflux time 9 to 15 s.1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses after SI units are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.6 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

AbstractThese test methods cover the measurement of fabric mass per unit area (weight) and is applicable to most fabrics. There are four approved options in the measurement of fabric mass per unit area: Option A, Option B, Option C, and Option D. Option A may be used for acceptance testing of commercial shipments since it has been used extensively in the trade. The second option is Option B which is applicable to a full-width sample cut from a full piece, roll, bolt, or cut. Unless otherwise specified, these results will include selvages and will be on the basis of conditioned fabric. Option C on the other hand is applicable when a small swatch of fabric is sent to the laboratory to be used as the test specimen. The results are considered to be applicable to the sample only and not necessarily to the lot from which the sample was taken. Measurements by this method do not include selvages and should be reported as such, unless a selvage allowance is specified. The last option is Option D which is intended for use with narrow fabrics as so designated by the trade.1.1 These test methods cover the measurement of fabric mass per unit area (traditionally referred to as “fabric weight”) and are applicable to most fabrics.1.2 There are four approved options:1.2.1 Option A—Full Piece, Roll, Bolt or Cut (Section 7).1.2.2 Option B—Full Width Sample (Section 8).1.2.3 Option C—Small Swatch of Fabric (Section 9).1.2.4 Option D—Narrow Fabrics (Section 10).1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system are not necessarily exact equivalents; therefore, to ensure conformance with the standard, each system shall be used independently of the other, and values from the two systems shall not be combined.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.

5.1 This test method differentiates between web materials on the basis of their ability to cause wear on surfaces with which they come in contact. This test method can also be used to evaluate the wear resistance of different materials against such web materials.1.1 This test method covers the determination of the abrasiveness of ink-impregnated fabric printer ribbons and other web materials by means of a sliding wear test.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
