This specification covers refined nickel primarily produced from ore or matte or similar raw material. Chemical analysis shall be performed on the metal and shall conform to the chemical composition requirements in nickel, cobalt, copper, carbon, iron, sulfur, phosphorus, manganese, silicon, arsenic, lead, antimony, bismuth, tin, and zinc. The principal commercial forms are cathodes, briquettes, and pellets. Cathodes shall be sampled using template drilling procedure.1.1 This specification covers refined nickel primarily produced from ore or matte or similar raw material. The principal commercial forms are cathodes, briquettes, and pellets.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to become familiar with all hazards including those identified in the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this product/material as provided by the manufacturer, to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices, and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.4 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

This specification covers open- and closed-face precast reinforced concrete crib wall members for earth-retaining structures or protection against stream encroachment. The concrete crib wall shall conform to the dimensions prescribed in this specification. Manufacturing materials shall include portland cement, aggregates, chemical admixtures, water, and steel reinforcement. Manufacturing shall conform to the procedures which include mixing, reinforcement-concrete placing, forming, curing, cleaning, oiling, and finishing. Compression tests shall be made on standard concrete cylinders and shall conform to the design strength indicated in this specification.1.1 This specification covers open- and closed-face precast reinforced concrete crib walls intended to act as earth-retaining structures or as protection against stream encroachment.NOTE 1: This specification is a manufacturing and purchase specification only, with examples and suggestions for usage. Successful performance of this product depends on the proper selection and assembling of members, proper foundation and bearing material, and consideration of backfill heights, backfill material, drainage, and other engineering and construction considerations. The purchaser of the crib wall members specified herein is cautioned that he must properly correlate the field requirements with the members selected and provide adequate inspection at the construction site.1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.1.3 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

The physical and mechanical properties of cladding materials can be altered by exposure to a high-energy neutron flux. The magnitude and relationship of these changes are functions of the material and its metallurgical condition; the amount, rate, and energy spectrum of the radiation; the exposure temperature; the test temperature; the purity, velocity, volume, and purification system of the coolant; and effects of contained fuel.1.1 This practice covers the procedures for postirradiation examination of cladding, determination of breached nuclear fuel elements, selection of material and tests for radiation studies, determination of radiation conditions, conduction of tests for mechanical properties of cladding, and the reporting of data.1.2 The purpose of this practice is to provide detailed guidelines for the postirradiation examination of fuel element cladding and to achieve better correlation and interpretation of the data in the field of radiation effects.1.3 This practice may be applied to metallic cladding from all types of fuel elements. The tests described in this practice for determining mechanical properties of the fuel element cladding practice should be included in the preirradiation characterization of the cladding and for planning irradiation effects tests for evaluation of materials for cladding and other components in nuclear reactors.Note 1—The values stated in SI units as described in Standard E 380 are to be regarded as the standard.

1.1 This practice covers special procedures for selecting a material and tests for radiation studies, determining radiation conditions, conducting tests for the mechanical properties of irradiated metallic materials, and reporting of data. 1.2 The purpose of this practice is to achieve better correlation and interpretation of new data in the field of radiation effects testing. 1.3 While primarily intended to apply to ferrite and austenitic steels, this practice may be applied to any appropriate metallic materials. In addition to tests for mechanical properties, these procedures should be helpful in planning other types of radiation effects testing. 1.4 It should be recognized that the effect of high-energy neutron radiation on the mechanical properties of the materials being studied is determined by the change in mechanical properties during radiation. Hence, the post-irradiated mechanical properties must be compared with the pre-irradiation properties of the materials.

This specification covers emulsified asphalt adhesive for use in adhering preformed roof insulation to steel roof decks of specified inclines. When applied as a continuous film over an acceptable deck surface, the emulsion functions as both an adhesive and a vapor retarder. The adhesives shall be appropriately sampled and tested, and shall adhere accordingly to the following physical requirements: water vapor permeance; adhesive strength; freezing resistance; density; residue by evaporation; ash content of residue; and behavior during heat test.1.1 This specification covers emulsified asphalt adhesive for use in adhering preformed roof insulation to steel roof decks with inclines up to 33 %. When applied as a continuous film over an acceptable deck surface, the emulsion functions as both an adhesive and a vapor retarder.1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values in parentheses are for information only.1.3 The following precautionary caveat pertains only to the test method portion, Section 5, of this specification: This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
