4.1 The use of the body measurement information in Tables 1 and 2 will assist manufacturers in developing patterns and garments that are consistent with the current anthropometric characteristics of the population of interest. This specification covers the manufacturing and testing requirements for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel round, square, rectangular, or special shape structural tubing used in welded, riveted, or bolted construction of bridges and buildings, and for general structural purposes where impact properties are required. The steel shall be made by one or more of the following processes: basic-oxygen or electric-furnace. The tubing shall be produced in both welded and seamless sizes with a periphery of 88 in.
