This specification covers the standard requirements for UNS N08028 seamless cold-finished or hot-finished pipe and tube intended for general corrosive services. The pipe and tube shall be furnished in the solution-annealed condition and heat treated at a certain range of temperature by subsequent quenching in water or rapidly cooling by other means. This specification covers the chemical, mechanical, and dimensional requirements for wrought seamless nickel-titanium shape memory alloy tubes used for the manufacture of medical devices and surgical implants. This specification covers welded and seamless carbon steel and austenitic stainless steel pipe nipples. The mechanical requirements stated that, pipe nipples shall be made from new, hydrostatic tested or NDE-tested pipe, pipe and nipples shall be threaded on both ends with NPT taper pipe threads. The standard and special lengths and sizes of nipples are presented. Galvanized nipples ordered under this specification shall be made from pipe coated on the inside and outside by the hot dip process. This specification covers standard requirements for seamless, black, plain-end steel pipes for use in the conveyance of fluids under pressure. A quantity of pipe of the same ordered diameter, heat, wall thickness, and grade shall be given. Heat and product analyses shall be performed wherein steel pipes shall conform to the required chemical composition for carbon, sulfur, and phosphorus. 13.1 For the purposes of determining compliance with the specified limits for requirements of the properties listed in this specification, an observed value or a calculated value shall be rounded as indicated in accordance with the rounding method of Practice E29.AbstractThis specification covers wrought niobium and niobium alloy seamless and welded tubes. Material covered by this specification shall be made from ingots that are produced by vacuum or plasma arc melting, vacuum electron-beam melting, or a combination of these three methods. Seamless tubes may be made by any seamless method that will yield a product meeting the requirements of this specification. Welded tubing shall be made from flat-rolled products by an automatic or semiautomatic welding process with no addition of filler metal in the welding operation. The niobium and niobium alloy ingots and billets for conversion to finished products covered by this specification shall conform to the requirements for chemical composition of the following elements: carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, zirconium, tantalum, iron, silicon, tungsten, nickel, molybdenum, hafnium, titanium. When specified, the following elements shall be included in the chemical composition of the specimen: boron, aluminum, beryllium, chromium, and cobalt. The materials supplied under these specifications shall be in the fully annealed condition. Finished niobium and niobium alloy tubes shall be free of injurious internal and external imperfections of a nature that will interfere with the purpose for which it was intended. Hydrostatic and pneumatic tests are optional when the purchaser requires. This specification covers bright annealed seamless copper tube suitable for use in refrigeration,oil lines, gasoline lines, and so forth, where tube with an interior surface essentially free from scale and dirt is required. The material of manufacture shall be billets, cast bars, or tube of the copper UNS No. C10200, C10300, C10800, C12000, or C12200 and shall be of such soundness as to be suitable for processing into the tubular products described. The tube shall be manufactured by such hot- or cold-working process as to produce a homogeneous uniform wrought structure in the finished product. The material shall conform to the required chemical composition specified. The tube shall be furnished in either O50 or O60 annealed tempers. The tube shall have the minimum tensile strength and elongation values as specified when tested. The outside diameter of the tube furnished shall be capable of being expanded to the specified value when tested. The tube shall be capable of being flattened in accordance with the method described.
