This specification covers the testing and requirements fof polymer concrete pipes of specified lengths, intended for use in gravity-flow systems for conveying sanitary sewage, storm water, and industrial wastes. Although this specification is suited primarily for pipes to be installed by direct burial and pipe jacking, it may be used to the extent applicable for other installations such as slip-lining and rehabilitation of existing pipelines. Materials shall be appropriately sampled for purposes of testing their conformance to such requirements as: workmanship; dimension (diameter, length, thickness, straightness, roundness, and squareness of ends); three-edge bearing; hydrostatic pressure; compressive strength; chemical resistance; and joint tightness.1.1 This specification covers polymer concrete pipe, 6 in. (150 mm) through 144 in. (3 660 mm), intended for use in gravity-flow systems for conveying sanitary sewage, storm water, and industrial wastes.1.2 Although this specification is suited primarily for pipe to be installed by direct burial and pipe jacking, it may be used to the extent applicable for other installations such as sliplining and rehabilitation of existing pipelines.NOTE 1: Unlike reinforced thermosetting resin pipes, polymer concrete pipe is designed and installed using rigid pipe design theory and practices.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The standard addresses materials and their manufacture, physical properties, sampling, packaging and package marking, and certification.1.1 This specification covers concrete floor tile (CFT) for application as interior and exterior flooring. 4.1 This test method provides procedures to be used for determining the effect of variables of composition, treatment, environment, or other factors in the bleeding of concrete. It is also permitted to be used to determine the conformance of a product or treatment with a requirement relating to its effect on bleeding of concrete.4.2 A specimen consolidated by rodding and tested without further disturbance simulates conditions in which the concrete is not subjected to intermittent vibration after placement.1.1 This test method covers the determination of the relative quantity of mixing water that will bleed from a sample of freshly mixed concrete.1.2 When various concretes are to be compared, if the batches are of similar unit weight, the sample masses shall not differ by more than 1 kg [2 lb].1.3 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. This specification covers perforated concrete pipe intended to be used for underdrainage. Pipe manufactured to this specification shall be of two classes, Type 1 and Type 2, describing two arrangements of perforations for pipe manufactured to the standard specifications for plain or reinforced concrete pipe, and their classifications. The acceptability of the pipe shall be determined by the results of all applicable tests prescribed for the type and class of pipe specified. The joints shall be of such design and the ends of the concrete pipe sections so formed that the pipe can be laid together to make a continuous line of pipe.1.1 This specification covers perforated concrete pipe intended to be used for underdrainage.1.2 The values stated in either inch-pound or SI units are to be regarded separately as standard. This specification covers porous nonreinforced concrete pipe for use in underdrains. Pipe manufactured according to this specification shall be of two classes identified as “standard porous nonreinforced concrete pipe”, and “extra-strength porous nonreinforced concrete pipe. ” The concrete shall consist of cementitious materials, mineral, aggregates, and water. The joints shall be of such design and the ends of the concrete pipe sections so formed that the pipe can be laid together to make a continuous line pipe. The aggregates shall be sized, graded, proportioned, and mixed with such proportions of cementitious materials, and water as will produce a homogeneous concrete mixture of such quality that the pipe will conform to test and design requirements. Pipe shall be subjected to curing. Special shapes or fittings for use with concrete pipe conforming to this specification shall be made of porous or nonporous concrete in such manner as will provide strength at least equal to the class of the adjacent pipe to which they are joined; and shall conform to all other requirements specified for pipe. The test pipe shall freed from all visible moisture. When dry, each pipe shall be measured and inspected. The crushing strength of the porous material as well as its infiltration, shall conform to the requirements.1.1 This specification covers porous nonreinforced concrete pipe for use in underdrains.1.2 A complete metric companion to this specification has been developed— 654M; therefore, no metric equivalents are presented in this specification.1.3 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

This specification covers precast concrete barriers intended for use adjacent to a roadway or as a median to redirect vehicles unintentionally leaving the roadway. The acceptance criteria for these barriers shall be based on strength properties, dimensional properties, and end results.
