This guide applies to three-phase squirrel cage induction machines, 250 hp (200 kW) and above and designed for specified load and application conditions. This guide provides a consistent way to show how the thermal limit curves for squirrel cage induction machines are to be presented.
This Standard covers design, material, manufacturing, testing, marking, and inspection requirements for factory-made pipeline bends of carbon steel materials having controlled chemistry and mechanical properties, produced by the induction bending process, with or without tangents. This standard covers induction bends for transportation and distribution piping applications (e.g., ASME B31.4, B31.8, and B31.11). Process and power piping have differing requirements and materials that may not be appropriate for the restrictions and examinations described herein, and therefore are not included in this Standard.
The scope of this project is to update the standard as it relates to present codes and industry practices. In addition, this project will develop guidelines with respect to the installation, testing, operation and maintenance of the conductors and terminations for all heating methods described in IEEE 844.
This is a guide for the in-service visual inspection, use, care, maintenance, and electrical testing of conductive clothing, including suits, gloves, socks, boots, bondings and face-screen for use during: -- Live work on voltages 765 kV AC (Type 1) and below -- Live work on voltage 750 kV DC (Type 1) and below -- Power frequency AC induction protection (Type 2) This compilation of many accepted practices is presented specifically in the form of a guide to be used by those utilities that are… read more seeking guidance in establishing methods and procedures for the use, care, maintenance, and testing of conductive clothing. read less
This part of IEC/IEEE 62582 specifies methods for condition monitoring of organic and polymeric materials in instrumentation and control systems using oxidation induction techniques in the detail necessary to produce accurate and reproducible measurements. It includes the requirements for sample preparation, the measurement system and conditions, and the reporting of the measurement results. The different parts of IEC/IEEE 62582 are measurement standards, primarily for use in the management of… read more ageing in initial qualification and after installation. IEC/IEEE 62582-1 includes requirements for the application of the other parts of the IEC/IEEE 62582 and some elements which are common to all methods.
