适用范围:
This test method determines the relative fire-retardant properties of coatings and the water leaching of the fire-retardant material from the applied coating. Leaching simulates the effect of high humidity, weathering, and washing on the fire retardancy of a coating, and is specified in various regulations and specifications for fire-retardant paints.1.1 This test method determines quantitatively the fire retardant properties of a coating or coating system on a wood surface and the leaching effect of water on the fire retardancy of the coating or coating system. Specifically, this test method determines the weight loss and char index of coated panels subjected to a flame and the effect of leaching of the coating on these parameters. 1.2 This test method should be used solely to measure and describe the properties of materials, products, or systems in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions and should not be considered or used for the description, appraisal, or regulation of the fire hazard of materials, products, or systems under actual fire conditions. 1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
