适用范围：

Provides and architectural model for the representation and manipulation for images in digital form. Based on this model, the standard defines and applications program interface and an image interchange format. It is applicable to all applications areas that involve the processing manipulation, or transfer of image data. Part 1 describes the common architectual material on which the entire standard is based. This standard was listed for comment in the July 24, 1992, Standards Action. It is being resubmitted for public review, according to procedures.
