适用范围：

A standard Application Programming Interface (API) defines a scope within which, and a grammar by which, it is possible to write application software without attention to vendor-specific infrastructure behavior. This standard defines a standard Application Programming Interface the scope of which is management of Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) and use of certain Fibre Channel facilities for discovery and management of the components of a Fibre Channel Storage Area Network. This standard is to be used with the Fibre Channel and SCSI families of standards.
