It does not cover Class 1E equipment for nuclear plants, which is covered by IEEE Std 344-1987, IEEE Recommended Practice for Seismic Qualification of Class 1E Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations (ANSI) 111. It provides direction for establishing procedures to verify that oil-immersed power transformers and reactors, as installed, will meet their performance requirements during and following a design earthquake.
