This standard provides training requirements on the use of PRND instrumentation for the Response mission areas from Presidential Policy Directive 8 (PPD-8) that describes five preparedness capabilities: Response, Recovery, Mitigation, Prevention, and Protection. The PRND instrumentation addressed in this standard are described in the normative references in Clause 2. Training to use the same instrumentation for the Prevention and Protection mission areas is described in ANSI N42.37.
