1.1 This specification covers fabrication details for fixed, vertical, steel ladders for personnel access on ships.1.2 Nonferrous ladders and special-purpose ladders are excluded from this specification.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
