This standard specifies classification and designation, ordering information, dimensions, shape, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate for high -carbon chromium bearing steel.
This standard is applicable to high-carbon chromium bearing steel in the form of hot-rolled and forged round bars, hot-rolled round wire rods as well as cold drawn round bars(in straight lengths or in coils) to be used in the manufacture of bearing rings and rolling bodies (hereinafter referred to as steel products).
By agreement between the manufacturer and purchaser, this standard may be applied to steel products or billets of other forms and dimensions, with specific requirements indicated in the contract.
