This document specifies the scope of and technical requirements for repair welding of defects in steel forgings,and the post-weld heat treatment and inspection.
This document is applicable to the repair welding of carbon structural steel forgings,and other alloy structural steel forgings listed in Table 1.
This document is not applicable to repair welding of forged steel parts that require surface quenching or are in a surface quenching state after welding.
