This standard specifies terms and definitions，equipment and apparatus，test conditions，sample preparation，and testing procedures of the test method of impact toughness index and thermal impact toughness index for superabrasive.
This standard is applicable to the determination of impact toughness of synthetic diamond with grain sizes 20/25 to 325/400 and cubic boron nitride with grain sizes 30/40 to 325/400.
