This practice covers the use of the International System of Units (SI) in maritime applications as well as non-SI units commonly used and accepted for use with SI units. This practice is intended to establish uniform SI practice in the maritime industry. Covered in this practice are the concept of SI, the two units comprising SI (namely, base and derived SI units), SI prefixes, basic rules for style and usage of SI as well as methods for rounding and conversion of non-SI units to SI units. Conversion factors for quantities commonly used in the maritime industry are also provided.1.1 This practice covers the use of SI, which is comprised of base and derived SI units. Also discussed are non-SI units that have been accepted and recognized by the CGPM as appropriate for limited use or time. Basic rules for style and usage of SI are set forth, as well as methods for conversion from non-SI units to SI units. Tables of quantities used by the marine industry are included, with present units and conversion factors given.

This specification covers alloys UNS N08925, UNS N08031, UNS N08932, UNS N08926, UNS N08354, and UNS R20033 plate, sheet, and strip in the annealed temper. The alloys shall conform to the required chemical composition such as carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, copper, nitrogen, and iron. The alloys shall also conform to the required mechanical properties such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and Rockwell hardness.1.1 This specification covers nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum-copper-nitrogen low-carbon alloy, nickel-iron-chromium-silicon alloy, chromium-nickel-iron-nitrogen low-carbon alloy, iron-nickel-chromium-molybdenum-copper-nitrogen alloy, and nickel-iron-chromium-molybdenum-nitrogen alloy plate, sheet, and strip in the annealed temper.1.2 ASTM International has adopted definitions whereby some grades, such as UNS N08904, previously in this specification were recognized as stainless steels, because those grades have iron as the largest element by mass percent. Such grades are under the oversight of ASTM Committee A01 and its subcommittees. The products of N08904 previously covered in this specification are now covered by Specifications A240/A240M and A480/A480M.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to become familiar with all hazards including those identified in the appropriate Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for this product/material as provided by the manufacturer, to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices, and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.

ASTM SI10-16 IEEE/ASTM SI 10 American National Standard for Metric Practice Active 发布日期 :  1970-01-01 实施日期 :

This document is the primary American National Standard on application of the metric system. It emphasizes use of the International System of Units (SI), which is the modern, internationally accepted metric system. It includes information on SI, a limited list of units recognized for use with SI, and a list of conversion factors, together with general guidance on style and usage. It also lists older "metric" units that shall no longer be used. The word primary implies that other metric standards in the United States should be consistent with this document.

1.1 This standard outlines a selection of SI units, with multiples and submultiples, for general use in building design and construction. 1.2 In addition, rules and recommendations are given for the presentation of SI units and symbols, and for numerical values shown in conjunction with SI. 1.3 A selection of conversion factors appropriate for use within the construction community is given in Appendix X1. 1.4 The SI units included in this document comply with and augment the ASTM Standard for Metric Practice E380 - 82 and are generally consistent with International Standards Organization (ISO) 1000 - 1981 SI Units and Recommendations for the Use of Their Multiples and Certain Other Units, and the ISO/31 Series of Standards, Quantities, and Units of SI.

This specification covers electric fusion-welded nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy UNS N06617, nickel-iron-chromium-silicon alloys UNS N08330 and UNS N08332, Ni-Cr-Fe-Al Alloy (UNS N06603), Ni-Cr-Fe Alloy UNS N06025, and Ni-Cr-Fe-Si Alloy UNS N06045 pipe intended for heat resisting applications and general corrosive service. Two classes of pipes are covered: Class 1 and Class 2. The joints shall be double-welded, full-penetration welds. The weld shall be made either manually or automatically by an electric process involving the deposition of filler metal. Weld defects shall be repaired by removal to sound metal and rewelding. All pipe shall be furnished in the annealed condition. The material shall conform to the composition limits specified. Transverse tension test, transverse guided-bend weld test, pressure test, and chemical analysis shall be made to conform to the requirements specified.1.1 This specification covers electric fusion-welded nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy UNS N06617, nickel-iron-chromium-silicon alloys UNS N08330 and UNS N08332, Ni-Cr-Fe-Al Alloy (UNS N06603), Ni-Cr-Fe Alloy UNS N06025, and Ni-Cr-Fe-Si Alloy UNS N06045 pipe intended for heat resisting applications and general corrosive service.1.2 This specification covers pipe in sizes 3 in. (76.2 mm) nominal diameter and larger and possessing a minimum wall thickness of 0.083 in. (2.11 mm).1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. Careful use of this practice can yield calibrated z-magnifications traceable to the SI unit of length with uncertainties (k = 2) of approximately 7 % over height ranges of approximately 1 nm.1.1 This practice covers a measurement procedure to calibrate the z-scale of an atomic force microscope using Si(111) monatomic step height specimens.1.2 Applications This procedure is applicable either in ambient or vacuum condition when the atomic force microscope (AFM) is operated at its highest levels of z-magnification, that is, in the nanometer and sub-nanometer ranges of z-displacement. These ranges of measurement are required when the AFM is used to measure the surfaces of semiconductors, optical surfaces, and other high technology components.1.3 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
